Love of learning and helping others propelled David into cybersecurity, where he assists clients with data and systems security, IT infrastructure support, evaluation of new technologies, and more. In addition to cybersecurity, he has experience in software development and coding.
While studying at the University of Tulsa, David received the Thomas W. Cairns Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement in Computer Science. He also stayed busy volunteering with Night Lights Tulsa, Feeding America, Special Olympics, and Movember, and he served as his fraternity’s educator and bylaws chair. During his tenure, his chapter received the Lewis A. Plourd Fraternity Education Award for an outstanding education program. He also served as a brother/mentor and still keeps in touch with mentees. He is conversationally fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and actively coordinated activities in the Tulsa Deaf community during his time in Oklahoma.
David is a percussionist specializing in the marimba and the drums (though these days he only plays the electronic version of the latter, to prevent noise complaints). He is also an outdoor enthusiast and is passionate about climbing, hiking, camping, and footbag (i.e., hacky sack). He loves thrifting clothes and furniture and has a knack for sewing and mending things.
